Sullivan Canyon - Elevator Shaft

Location off of PCH

Getting there

From 405 South or North., turn right onto Sunset and drive toward the beach.  Turn right on Mandeville Canyon.  Go 100-200 yards to Westridge. Turn left and proceed to
end of the road (several miles of twisting uphill).  There is a dirt parking
lot at the end of Westridge, and if that is full, park on the last street on
the right before Westridge ends, and hike (200 yards) up to the dirt lot from
there.  The Sullivan Ridge fire road takes off from the dirt lot at the top of
Westridge.

Brief Description

The fire road goes for about 3 miles and joins dirt Mullholland, taken for
another mile to another big fire road heading down and left into the canyon.  A
mile down this is the drop into the Sullivan Canyon, perhaps the most popular
MB track in the entire range.

Description -

This is a small neighborhood park. It's a great place to do trials on rocks. A man-made creek runs through the rocks. You can hop, gap and drop to your heart's content. Sometimes little children play amongst the rocks, so use some judgment if they are present.

(LOCATED 1 mile north of Sunset Boulevard on Coldwater Canyon Boulevard across from the fire station. There are also some benches across the street to play on.

Getting There -  From the 405 Freeway.  Exit Sunset Boulevard and go East towards UCLA until you hit Rexford in Beverly Hills.  Left on Rexford and just as the road bends, take a right onto Coldwater Canyon Boulevard.  Go about .5 miles. The Park will be on the left across from the fire station.
